My wife , or my son for that matter wouldn't know a jack plug from a Jack daniels lol. I'm afraid i have to do it all myself. On the good side,i've had the same residency for 7 years,so i don't have to move gear very often. You guys are very lucky to have family members to help.(cheap rates i hope ) lol

It really is nice to have a close family member to help ....... they understand us better and they are like joint owners of the equipment and are as sensitive as us. My daughter was a natural and got everything righ. She tweaked the mixer to get just what I needed. Alas, she is now a professional techie in Dubai, though she is mainly in lighting. Really miss her, but well the gigs are not too many and I have a good set up which I hire if the need is there. I have a Nepali guy to help me for the big shows and he's learning well.

Well I have my Mum Margaret to help me set up my gear, she comes to all my day gigs and 95% of the evening ones, she's great with the gear, knows what everything does and where it plugs into, and could set the whole thing up without me if need be,. She also sorts out most of my bookings for me, now that's what I call a fab Ma Jacqui
