(Hi,folks I am redoing this post as i made an error in the first post when i descibed the midi inputs, sorry to confuse the issue i have corrected it & reposted it ) I was wondering if any of our members could help "ole Simmo" out with a little problem re, sonar le & sonic cell,i have just got a new computer ,the other one is destined to the tip as it was on the point of giving up,i have had lots of assistance from Tubbs & the master himself the one & only John G since purchasing these programmes & although quite new at this sort of thing i did manage to use the editor side of Sonic/cell to change instruments,drumkits etc on the midifiles i was using on sonar le & picking up the goodie sounds from the s/cell, also i was managing to save the midis in there edited form using the Sonic cell editor (just in case i needed to go back & do further changes).What i have found with the new computer is that although i have installed the sonar le & the sonic cell the same way i find that when i try to edit a midifile on sonar le using the s/cell editor function it does not respond to any of the instrument changes like it did on the old computer,the only difference i can see is that when i load a midi on sonar le the midi channel inputs shows up as omni instead of roland sonic cell which on my old computer it used to show Roland sonic cell.I have set up the options/devices naming Roland sonic cell as the midi in/outputs & i also show on the option/audio devices roland sonic cell named as input & output as well but when i load a midi on to sonar le the channel midi outputs still show as Roland sonic cell but the channel midi inputs show up as omni,very strange,i was wondering if the problem may be computer related being a new computer there may be some sort of setting i need to alter,the other thing i have noticed is that when the sonic/cell is connected & turned on it is not responding to any of the commands from the Sonic editor which is part of the sonic cell programme,it cannot recognise instrument changes drumkit changes etc so it apears that the sonar le & the sonic cell are not connecting to each other,in fact there must be some sort of conflict because the sonic cell module will constantly freeze up on me while i attempt to make any changes ,Any help would be appreciated,i was even wondering if the new computer may be the culprit possibly clashing with another programme or a sound card etc,many thanks for hearing me out, all suggestions welcome kind regards Simmo ,sitting pulling his remaining hair out in frustration in Weegeo's corner which incidently is shared by Tubbs drinking a pint,& Jacqui trying to bail up George to give him a peck on the cheek as thanks for some unknown favour

I realise your in the UK now for another few weeks but have you tried installing the latest update for the Sonic Cell as it could be causing your probs freezing etc when communicating with Sonar LE .........worked for me I had ver 1.01 preinstalled then updated to the latest ver 1.20 and it sorted out my issues ..........in case you have the old ver you can download the new one here under downloads
