Attended the memorial service today at the City Hall in Belfast. She went down in the Mid Atlantic 97 years ago today, 15th April 1912, with the loss of some 1500 men , women and children. Can still bring a tear to your eye, that one.

It was such a tragic loss of life and it could have been avoided if the right decisions had been taken at the time. There is one survivor left who is Milvina Dean who lives in a nursing home in Hampshire, she was only a few months old at the time. Memorial services of any type bring a lump to my throat and a few have made tears fall. Life is so precious. May all their souls RIP.

Such a tragic event that everyone across the globe can relate to. Such an impressive vessel no one would of thought what was about to happen. I watched the memorial service yesterday on the news, such a sad day all round. RIP to the 1500 people who perished on that tragic night.
