i use a laptop to play my midi files through my pa system witch is not a great system but not bad is there any piece of equipment i can get to make me sound more professional thats not too expensive tomdoc

I use the Edirol SD-20, 24-bit Digital Studio Canvas, picked it up cheap on Ebay a while ago,
Generally all the sounds are very good, though the sax is a bit ordinary

Another option, but time consuming, is to download Mixcraft and convert all your Midi backings to mp3, the Mixcraft sounds are way better than the sounds created by the standard laptop soundcard.
