I use the Edirol SD-20, 24-bit Digital Studio Canvas, picked it up cheap on Ebay a while ago, Generally all the sounds are very good, though the sax is a bit ordinary From the website: Now there's a compact, portable, USB bus powered MIDI solution, perfect for your laptop. The Edirol SD-20 gives you the right number of sounds, and works with your computer no matter what its age: you can connect through USB or serial ports. www.roland.com/products/en/SD-20/Another option, but time consuming, is to download Mixcraft and convert all your Midi backings to mp3, the Mixcraft sounds are way better than the sounds created by the standard laptop soundcard. You can download Mixcraft here: www.acoustica.com/mixcraft/It's fully functional for 30 days which should be heaps of time to convert and save your files...............
