Simple buddy.
Look around for your friends in MIDIHANGOUT and write them a short personal message (Knock no. 1) enquiring about how they are and what kind of new music they are playing. Any subject will do.
Wait for their reply and send them another note (Knock no. 2 ) after a while.
If you still dont get a response .........................
