Hi Guys Just like to know if anyone knows how to align out of sync midis i.e. the song starts at 2:01:030 as opposed to 2:01:000 is there an easy way of getting the whole song back in the sync. I tried the slide function with no luck Im sure its something simple just never came across this problem before . Appreciate any help on this one ...........Thanx Barry

The Track view lets you move entire clips forward or backward in time either using drag and drop editing, or by changing the start time of selected clips. The Edit-Slide command is slightly more flexible--you can use it to shift individual events and markers (or selected events and markers) either forward or backward in time. This has an effect that is similar to the Time+ parameter in the Track view. However, the Edit-Slide command modifies the time stored with each event, while the Time+ parameter simply applies a temporary change during playback.
You can also use the Edit-Slide command to move markers located within the selection. If you have selected any locked markers, Cakewalk will ask whether they should slide too.

To Shift Events in Time
1. Select the events and/or markers you want to shift. 2. Choose Edit-Slide to display the Slide dialog box. 3. Check the types of event you want to slide (events and/or markers) 4. Entire the number of measures, ticks, seconds, or frames to slide. Enter a negative number to shift material earlier.
Note that you cannot slide any event earlier than 1:01:000. For example, if the current selection starts at 2:01:000, you cannot slide events earlier by more than one measure.
5. Click OK when you are done.
Cakewalk shifts the selected events and/or markers.

In Staff View, Cakewalk's MIDI Timing Resolution (timebase) can be set to 048, 120, 192, all the way to 960. Select Options, Project, Clock, Ticks Per Quarter-Note, and click on 048, then click OK. Slide your track back.

Great stuff Frank.. .........finally figured it out thanks to you and for the benefit of others this is how I managed it... The song started at 2:01:011 and I needed to bring it back to start at exactly 2:01:000 as the song was out of sync and if I needed to copy/cut/paste etc it woulda caused me problems further down the line ......in this case I left the Timebase at 96 hit Select/All Edit/Slide and just slid the whole song back 11 ticks from where it started at 2:01:011 and it is now in perfect sync on the button at 2:01:000.......maybe I was lucky this time because I didnt need to change the Timebase but its probably just a matter of trying a few different settings to get it right in more trickier sync issues ..very handy feature I just never had cause to use this function before ........so appreciate your help in solving this .........I am now a happy bunny ;D Cheerz Barry
