As a lifelong fan of Gerry Rafferty, I was very sad to hear of his passing yesterday at the age of 63. Though he'll most probably always be best remembered for his hits ... Baker Street and Stuck In the Middle ... he was a prolific singer/songwriter with a gentle voice and real fine ear for a melody and his last two albums 'Another World' and 'Life Goes On' have some of his finest work. He will be sorely missed ... RIP Gerry.

A real loss to our industry one of life`s gentlemen,i was lucky to share a drink with him in the 70`s he had so much knowledge in his head and all he wanted to do was talk and share with the table. A real nice guy
Rest in Peace Gerry God`s gain is our loss

I heard a little story about the recording of Baker Street the other day. Apparently the only reason there is a saxophone on the record is that the session guitarist that was due to play lead didnt show up.
RIP Gerry.
Bri, the supergroup in the sky has some talent for sure. Perhaps we could start a new thread to show 'Gods supergroups in the sky'. I bet we would all choose different people.

Strewth Ian. Would it be one huge supergroup or a load of small(ish) bands? Would they all borrow from each other? I for sure don't know. Just hope I don't find out just yet (lol). Take care Bri
