Hi Graham, its all looking a little clearer now with regards to recording the guitar through sonic cell, thanks for your input mate all i've got to do is find the time to sit down & put it into practice, all has settled down with the bushfires for the moment the worst part is they suspect it was started deliberately which unfortunately is quite common over here,i have just come in from a gig 7.30pm it was a retirement village, only an hours playing but i get regular bookings from them, from now until Christmas its full on right up to the 24th also next year is building up already with the bookings, must fly to have a bit of tucker & maybe a beer, will be in touch....Simmo

Hi Terry, Glad the bushfires have settled down. Glad also that the Sonic Cell approach may be the way to go for your recording. Tom helped me greatly in my early attempts at recording using the Sonic and what made the breakthro' for me at that time was when he sent me a couple of patches he put together and by clicking on one of those it opened up the 'inner workings' of the Sonic and I was able to navigate my way thro' the various effects and there are some great sounds in there once you know where to look for 'em!! It's been a good while since I used this approach myself and I'm going more the software route at the moment. But I'll send you a few of the patches I made at the time and you will have instant access to each bank of effects that way and you'll probably get quickly familiar with the sort of sounds available and will soon be making some of your own. I'll send you a batch of patches over the weekend and when you get a bit of freetime in between the gigging you can just try 'em out and just e-mail me if you get stuck. Best regards ... Graham:)

Hi Graham good to here from you & yes i am looking forward to "The Patches"i'm not to sure what to do with them when the arrive ?? but i'm sure you will be good enough to direct me as where to put them ( i do remember our good mate John G sent me 2 patches when i was struggling to get Sonic Cell up & going, one was an "In" & the other was an"Out" patch,i copied & pasted them into the Sonar le programme & everything worked after that) anyway Graham i can always give you a call if i get stuck, with our super cheap phone calls to the UK system we have over here it is cheaper to call you than to make a local call here,i must just remember the 8 hour time difference between us,it is now 7.30 am Perth time which makes it 10.30 pm your UK time,i am sure the family would appreciate a call in the early hours of the morning ;D.As i mentioned it is full on with Christmas gigs but i will certainly be working towards making another acceptable recording ASAP for the members stage using my new found info on recording my acoustic guitar. Best wishes to the family as well...from your mates in Baldivis..the Simmo's
