Thinking of you in this sad moment in your life Kevin I can only suppose you chose this song as it was poignant as to the reasons and as a tribute to his sad decision to end his life

So sorry to hear this, Kev.
Always a desperately sad time for those left to carry the burden.
If you think this is an act of selfishness, then you really don't understand what goes on in the mind of someone who finally commits this act. Usually performed by the gentlest and most deeply caring members of our society.
It is a mental illness, often a chemical imbalance in the brain, and should be treated with the compassion it so desperately needs, just as you would treat someone with cancer.
It is even more sad for those compassionate souls left behind who wonder why they didn't see the symptoms and what they could have done to help.
Wherever you are now, Jim, I hope you find the peace in death that you couldn't find in life. I shed my tears for you as I have been so close myself at times.
Kev, to you and yours, I hope you will remember Jim for all the good things he did in his life and for the happy times you had together, not for his final desperate act. Celebrate his life, not his passing.
Sincerely, JohnG.

Hi Kevin so sorry for the loss your feeling and my thoughts are also with your dear friends family. John has summed it up perfectly often we talk of the selfishness of the act of suicide without really understanding the mental state or the pressure`s that the person is feeling like John i know the pressure and have been in that place myself. I am sure your dear friend is at peace now and is in a much better place
God Bless

Kev, my apologies for the lateness in spotting this, I have been tied up of late and not been checking into the forum as much as Id like. It was Jacqui who actually told me.
My deepest condolences on the loss of your very good friend. Whatever it was that drove him to this is no longer causing him pain and I suppose there is a sort of comfort in that; but whatever the reasons I know from experience how hurtful it can be to lose someone close.
My sympathies to you, Catriona and everyone effected by this terrible tragedy.
