There is talk in the British press and in the media of unrest in the Aussie camp about the chances of the Aussies winning back the little urn. Can we have some feedback from the down under members to let us Poms know how bad your press are having a go at your team and its preparations.

Thanks for the news Frank. Keep us Poms informed of all the latest gossip. Interesting news on Ponting though, retired or pushed, sounds like a little media hunt. Juicey!
Just found out that Alistair Cook out for a mini score again. Cook lives 2 doors away from my wifes Aunt in a nice Essex village. Ian

Hmmm i wouldn`t jump on the Aussie are dead score yet, much as it`s nice to win the warm up games i would imagine that the `old enemy`will have a trick or two up their sleevies and as for Ponting imho the only thing that is holding him back is his age,age catches us all. I still fancy the Aussies to win the series but it would be brilliant to see them lose. Good luck to both teams and remember i`m just a phone call away lool lol lol

I saw Ponting on Sky news this morning, I didn't get the impression he was gone....but then again I didn't see all the interview. I am really looking forward to the ashes this time around, especially to see how Irish lad Eoin Morgan does. Personally I do hope he makes a century in each innings Whatever happens the craic will be mighty but I really hope we see a fit and determined Aussie team, because if England win I want no excuses from the Aussies ... usually this is England's job ;d

Yeah, Frank. He's staying alright. But I think there is something going on and some of the team isn't happy.

The question now must be has Ponting lost the plot, those of us that have played the game understand the umpire`s word is law but i was dismayed to watch Ponting dispute first the umpire and then the video evidence which proved that the bal didn`t come into contact with the bat or bat pad. Plain to see the `aussies are worried

Ponting spat the dummy because he is a looser under pressure.

I agree Frank, however, I still feel for the man - it's the selectors who need to review their practices IMO. weegeo is correct though - a poor display of judgement on Pontings behalf - the umpires ruling should be final and this shouldn't be 'up for discussion' by the players on the field.
