Thanks guys,

I collected Susanne from hospital on Thursday after her treatment. All seems well so far. Too early to know whether it has worked yet. The next few months will tell. But the measurements indicated that the treatment had gone to the correct place and her thyroid had absorbed the radio-active iodine.

Good thing it was Thursday morning as it began to sleet on the frozen roads! By afternoon we had black ice. Overnight it has snowed, about a foot of it, on top of that and continuing throughout the day. Tried to get to the shops this morning but the wheels just spin, even with winter tyres and in 2nd gear. Gave up, stayed at home. Good thing I stocked up a bit on Wednesday. Brrrrrr!
