 Hi folks ,yep Ole Simmo's back looking for a little bit of advice,i have just installed a new computer (not by me) & i find that after installing my sonar le programme on its own, not with the sonic cell programme that it came with, that one i am putting on my other computer which is not on the internet along with the sonar le which will be used solely for me to muck around with my music,hey !!! what a luxury!!,getting back to the sonar i've installed i find that if i bring a midi up on it loads & plays as normal but with no sound coming through at all, if i i check the options/midi devices it only shows microsoft midi mapper, the options/audio /drivers tab show the input as realtek hd audio imput while the output shows realtek hd audio output 1/2 then the same except audio output 3/4 then 5/6 then 7/8, the other thing is that i can bring a midifile up on the media player & it will play it no problems,i have played around with control panel/audio sounds & devices but with no luck,also when i go to the individual instruments on midi the imput says none & the output says new drum map & shows an array of drum kits etc,any help would be welcome ,gotta go now the "war office" is getting ready to go out,Ole Simmo in he's undies heading for the shower (not a particually pretty sight), she keeps threatening to enter me into the local flower show in the dried arrangement section,reckons i'd get in the top three ;D ;D

When you go to Midi Devices does it show "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" as an option?....if so, press on it so it highlights and then in the box at the bottom press "Move Selected Devices To Top" and then press "Ok"...try this and get back to me.

this might not help to solve the problem direct but when i bought my dell laptop it has sigmatel audio drivers which work with loads of sequences but dont work with sonar the way to get round it is download and install asio4all drivers they are free or install a sound card that sonar will accept the drivers i have realtek on main pc and it works fine with sonar so it could be its because they are HD drivers but try tubbs option 1st also if you are getting sound ie audio or midi from other progs it will be sonar thats the culprit
