Just thought I would post a congratulations to the victorious Down Team that beat Kildare yesterday to get to The All Ireland Final. It has been a great spell for them since James McCartan (Wee James) took over as manager. Should be a nail-biting encounter against Cork on the third Sunday of September....... Keep it up Lads ;D................Gerry.

Lucky Devil! That Tyrone Minor team have the potential to be a great Senior side. Down have now copied the same thing that have made Tyrone great, employing their stars to go around schools and teach the basics of Gaelic Football to youth. It is definatley the way forward as the techniques and fitness levels have all changed from the catch and kick game of the 70s & 80s. They took Clarke home from Australia and along with Coulter, Murtagh and Sexton they are covering the whole South Down schools. Sexton is married to my sisters second eldest girl so there could be a bit of begging and B**l licking in the coming week by myself for a ticket..........Anyway Good luck to both teams............Gerry.

Well Done and congrats to the Tyrone lads........Great side.........Hard luck Down.......Could not fault their commitment...........There was always going to be a good game in Cork.......They were rubbish all through the championship. Just scraping through by the skin of their teeth. Sadly for the Down Lads that great game came today. When they changed in the second half and brought on their subs Down were playing catchup. Couldn't win the ball in midfield.......Sorry I missed you Kev I was looking forward to meeting you. With the crack and banter goung up I left my phone on the charger in the car............Ah well!.......There's always next year.......G
