Hi Gys Theres an old song (60s or 70s) sung by a girl which goes like this : I'm just a wallflower, wallflower Nobody's holding me tight Wallflower, walflower ...................
MY Sis used to sing this song and I've been searching all over for some clues.
If anyone has heard this song can you let me know who sang it , please ?

Hi Shyam, Although the words are not quite as you've remembered them as sung by your sister I wonder if you mean this one:
Lynsey de Paul Won't Somebody Dance with me
And now the band is playing very slow And once again, I'll get my coat and go A lonely wallflower waiting by the wall Without the willpower to face the music at all
Please, won't somebody dance with me Start up a romance with me Just someone to care Someone so rare, for a dance with me
I feel so silly in my patent shoes So many partners but none of them will choose A lonely wallflower growing very tired Into the small hours and feeling undesired
Please, won't somebody dance with me Start up a romance with me Just someone somewhere Someone who'll dare take a chance with me
For a dance with me
Please, won't somebody dance with me Start up a romance with me Just someone somewhere Someone who'll dare take a chance with me
Just someone to care Someone somewhere, for romance with me
May I have the pleasure of this dance?
If I remember correctly the line at the end "May I have the pleasure of this dance" was spoken by popular DJ of the time on BBC radio, Ed Stewart on the original recording.

Well, I am a new member to this forum, and I found that your question haven't been answered to date. The girl you were referring was Debbie Reynold and the title of the song is "Wall Flower".

Hi Shyam!
I wonder whether you got the right answer to your question about the song Wall Flower. In fact it is sung by Debbie Reynold. I have an mp3 recorded from Radio Sri Lanka. Please let me know your requirement.
