Has anyone else come across a German group called the baseballs yet? They are a rock n roll/rockabilly/do-wop group who take modern songs and give them the 50's treatment. I have just bought their CD called Strike and I cant stop playing it. Some of the songs they cover are Umbrella, I dont feel like dancing, Angels, Hey there Delilah, Hot n Cold + many others. The 3 guys in the group all have slightly different voices, with one of them sounding like a young Elvis, They are apparently very big in Scandinavian countries and alot of other countries through Europe and have had number ones in I think Finland, Sweden, and Belgium. Anyone wishing to check them out click on this link and let us know what you think. Even my 2 oldest children who normally turn up their noses at anything resembling 'proper music' enjoy it. www.youtube.com/user/thebaseballs?blend=1&ob=4Ian ( Oliver101 )

Hi Ian,
Yes, they are popular in Sweden and I think we need this kind of happy music when times are not so good.
Over all the rockabilly rhythms are gaining grounds here...even in the bigger cities. This kind of music has always been rather popular among young (and old) people in the countryside. In the Swedish edition of Talent 2010 thereĀ“s a rockabilly band competing in the semi finals.
