Hiya Boss lol, It sure does look neat but not sure if it warrants the amount of money that they are looking for it, i seem to remember that Van Basco had a section that would scroll out your lyrics and it was free perhaps some of the other guys could shed a lot more light on the subject. On a more personal note why not just make the lyrics up as ypu go along if you forget them lol it`s worked for me over the last 40 odd years lol
weegeo --------- in the corner 1,000 + posts and still posting but making little sense lol lol lol

Hey, George! Funnily enough, I have made up the words from time to time.......and no one noticed the difference, it seems most people only know the chorus at the gigs I do. And, even Elvis use to forget the words on stage But this gadget works differently than Vanbasco, for example you wouldn't have to bring a PC to a gig, plus this little thing clips on to your guitar. Nice, if you need it and can afford it.

'Ole Simmo'... can certainly relate to forgetting the words at a gig which should come as no surprise to anyone who knows him or has met him,i make them up all the time,my best effort was when i managed to sing the lyrics of 'Engleberts' song 'Please Release me' to another song i perform 'To Young',i realised after the first couple of lines that i was in trouble but by then it was to late,i managed to get back into the correct lyrics after the chorus but i must admit i had to stretch a few words plus add a couple as well, some times although i always have the words in front of me in my book i do have distractions at some of my Oldies Gigs, especially the Dementia section concerts where i perform regularly,i have the folks wandering around aimlessly & in some cases i have to keep them from pulling the leads out from my gear while i am playing, one of many interesting experiences i remember was when a patient actually removed i think it is called a colonostemy bag from another patient who was bedridden & then proceeded to start swinging it at me while i was in the middle of a song, the nurses had all popped out for a break so it was a busy couple of minutes for me but i managed to hold the fort & finish the song before the staff came to my rescue,ah well!!! all interesting stuff but at the end of the day i am sure the music is appreciated .Well just had breakfast, time to do a few jobs before the gig this "Arvo". Best wishes to all.........Simmo

I have regularly made up lyrics, my most memorable being a rendition of "My way" when after the first line my mind went totally blank, so I kept using the first line lyric with a few added words here and there, not a single person noticed.

I too have sung the right words to the wrong song. The backing track for Act Naturally came on, which it was suppose to according to how I had my program set up for that night, but for some reason I started singing Blanket on the Ground! When I realised my error, this was about 30 seconds into the song, I changed to what it was supposed to be and made it an unexpected medley ;d Thankfully no one seemed to have noticed. But I did, and a cold sweat crept over me ... and to make it worse the song seemed to have lasted forever

It's funny that this has come up...I was playing on Friday night past and I was singing Forever And Ever I Love You...and I was half way through the second chorus when I realised I was singing...Be Nobodys Darling But Mine.......then I thought that I could lenghten the track and do it as a medley...I haven't got round to it yet though

I've sounded like Stanley Unwin a few times singing Too Much Monkey Business.
