I'm looking for some help with a Roland G70 for a guitarist friend of mine. I thought some of you keyboard players would be the perfect guys to ask. He is packing up the band he's playing in and doing a duet with the keyboard player ( who has a G70 ). He's asked me about playing midi files thro the keyboard. Pardon my ignorance here ,but i've no idea how these things work. Can you play midifiles thro them? Can you edit midifiles ? How do you transfer a file from a pc to the keyboard? Would he need an additional sound module or card? any help would be appreciated Regards Eddie PS i'm on holiday for two weeks so i won't pick up any posts until i return

Hi Eddie
If he uses a compact flash card to store midi files and styles he'll need to download the G70 Database manager for PC or Mac from one of the main Roland sites. It's the easiest way to organize your files for your keyboard. You can guess how many files a 2 or 4 GB card can hold, instantly accessible on the keyboard. Midis can be accessed and set to play while another is still playing. No more gaps in your playlist.
Jimmy
