The elections in the U.K. were as expected ......... a hung parliament !!! Will this mean there will be "horse trading" like we have in India ? I guess it wont be in such a crude brazen, immoral way, but nevertheless there will be a few "cross overs" Ir will be interesting to know your opinions.

Hi Shyam, everyones opinions will differ in our country and only time will tell if our polititians can compromise over policys. A close friend of mine is a trader in the city of London and he honestly believes that we are in for a torrid summer and another general election in October. Stocks and shares fell over 5% yesterday. This is going to be a learning curve for our MPs, give and take will be the new words, but I dont think there is enough common ground between the Conservatives and the Lib Dems, they are miles away on the voting system, Europe, and defence. One of the few things they agree on is scrapping the ID card scheme that Labour wanted introduced.
I would like to know anyone elses opinion, thanks for raising the topic Shyam.

Well i have 1 question if we have a `hung`parliament then why are all these politicians still breathing lol lol
On a more serious note for us over here across the water the worst possible scenario for us is if Cameron becomes PM he has already said that he would reduce the amount of money available to our assembly whilst increasing the finances for Scotland and Wales
He has also said that he would reduce or stop `Tax credits`and would look at abolishing benefits such as `incapacity and income support in an attempt to get people back to work my question would have to be `How can he do this when there are no jobs out there now` for me he would be a return to the `Thatcher`regime of austerity as for Clegg i don`t think he has much in way of cohesive policies to help our country out of the reccession that we are in, so that leaves us with G.Brown who helped create the mess we are in when he was chancellor but for me the only possible coalition would lib dem and labor but who knows which ever way it goes i think we have another election in the winter.
