About 2 months ago Caitriona and I booked a weekend in London flying with Ryanair for £2.00 return each....the weekend in question just so happens to be the FA Cup semis weekend...as Man Utd fans we thought this would be great...sitting in a pub watching the games....but I got a phone call last night from a guy we had met in Manchester when we were over to watch the Champions League Final there...his wife and Caitriona went shopping the following day while Steve and I sat in the pub chatting with some of his mates......he has got us two tickets for the semi final...apparently the seats are high up...but what the hell!!!!!.....HAPPY DAYS

And here was I thinking that Scotsmen were frugal with the pennies Kev,[lol] ;D As a fellow Man Utd fan I am extremely jealous of your good fortune , but I sincerely hope you enjoy the occasion and that we get the right result Regards Bigmike

I hope to be in Wembley soon to see Leeds in the play-off final..(hopefully we make it that far this year).. Hope you have a gr8 time Kev...personally i wouldn't go watch them if they were playing in my back garden..(unless against Leeds...i know, highly unlikely that will happen, at least for a couple more years). ;D Its a Yorkshire/Lancashire thing!! (Wonder will anyone from Manchester be at it)?? ;D

Gerry, when I was a kid, about 12 years old, I use to follow Leeds......but then I got sense ;d
Only kidding. Although I do not really follow any soccer team as such these days, apart from Ireland, France and Celtic, I still like to hear of Leeds doing well but in our house we tend to hear a lot more about Liverpool, my wife's a very keen fan as are our kids.
I have brothers who are extremely passionate followers of Arsenal and Manchester United....it is some craic to see them slagging each other off, especially when their teams are playing. It's been known for the odd "fight" to breakout and a few times when they'll even stop talking to each other for a couple of days!!

You're going back to the days of Don Revie their Pat...and what days they were, its been my pleasure to meet some of the greats down the years at various charity matches at Elland Road...Billy Bremner, Alan Clarke, Paul Reaney, Jonny Giles etc. And not forgetting Big Jack Charlton who i met again recently when i bumped into him in a restaurant of all places in Castlebar, i asked him did he remember playing a local team where i used to live in Yorkshire (he was managing a retired Leeds XI team) for charity and he recalled it like it was played yesterday...great memory our Jack. And who could forget old bite yer legs Hunter!! Brilliant. There is a new film entitled "The Damned United" about Brian Cloughs ill-fated reign at Leeds....looking forward to seeing that one. As i sing..... "Marching on together, we're gonna see you win..nah nah nah nah nah nah...we are so proud we shouted out loud we love you Leeds..Leeds..Leeds"..... ;D

The good old days, indeed. I'd like to see that film too. As far as I know it's due for release soon here in Ireland.
Returning to the topic. Who is meeting Man U in the semifinal?
