Hello Everyoone Its sad but we just cant afford the exhorbutant fares to the U.K. and Ireland now so we've decided to put it off for now and try and make it when its affordable. Honestly, I dont know if that'll happen as my feet are only getting worse as days go by and I wouldnt like to go around in a wheel chair there. I wish to thank all those who extended their invitation to us to visit and stay with them . The very thought of this gracious hospitality makes me feel your warrmth and I am grateful for friends like you . My wife and I have decided to go to Dubai for a fortnight and be with our daughter. It'll be my first visit overseas, so I'm lookintg forward to the trip (from 7th of June to the 20th of June this year). I hope to have the pleasure of meeting some of you , here in Bangalore . Please do come and stay with us and treat our home as yours. Do try and make plans to come. You are most welcome I am sad, but my wallet is intact .

sorry to hear that you've cancelled your trip to the UK and Ireland Shyam, was really looking forward to meeting you but sometimes finance dictates and maybe circumstances will change in the future. Who knows we might take you up on your generous offer. P.S Did you hear about the Scotsman who was up a ladder when a penny fell out of his pocket ?? It hit him on the head Regards Bigmike

I am sorry to hear this, Shyam, but you are not alone in your reasons for taking this decision. We too have had to rethink a trip we had planned to travel around Europe during the summer, something we haven't had to do for many a year. But in these recessionary times some necessary adjustments need to be made. I do hope and pray things will change for you and that we will see you in our neck of the woods at some future point, and when you do get here we'll all ensure you and your good lady have a wonderful time. Don't forget to include Co. Tipperary in any itinerary George, mate, sorry to hear things are taking so long to fully heal. I hope you are coping OK and will soon be 100% back to your auldself.

Shyam, when you do find your way over here, there will always be a "welcome in the hillside" of Wales, as there would be for any Hangout member.

Dear Shyam, So sorry to hear that you can't make the trip. I would make the trip to you in a shot and to Terry and Patricia in Oz too, if I had the dosh. I invest my loose change in the lottery each week and also have some savings in Ernie, when either of those comes up trumps I'll give you a buzz. Can you pick us up at the airport? India is one of the places I've always wanted to visit but never made it on my travels. Hey, you definitely don't wan to see the JG in shorts ... believe me! JohnG.
