Well another season nearly over and it looks as though the "Blues" should go on to lift the title this season deservedly so I think.. .......its been a real tight affair this season with Arsenal just fading away at the end ....sure they've have had a few glitches along the way but taking everything into consideration losing players to the African Nations Cup for over a month and being without key players such as Carvalho,Essien Bosingwa, Ashley Cole, Beletti etc for most of the season I think the overall depth experience and physical strength of Chelsea this season won out in the end. Lets hope I dont put the hex on next weekends result but they should see the job through now and after their disappointing Champions League exit they lifted themselves and could now go on to win the double the first time in the history of the club. Ancelotti has brought stability and reinstilled confidence in the squad and took over and continued the great work Hiddink put in... next season he hopes also to introduce a few of our up and coming youngsters as a few of our more experienced players are now in their thirties Ballack,Deco.Carvalho,Anelka ,Drogba etc. eventhough the average age of the squad is still only 27 strangely enough Anyway best of luck next Sunday Guys...... . ."Cmon On Ye Blues" Barry

Now what has helped Chelsea to the league win? .....could it be the Drogda offside goal against Man Utd?....could it be the lack lustred game at 'Handfield'...back pass from team Gerrard??...Ballack only getting ONE yellow card when both tackles were exactly the same??.....how can a team like Liverpool play 93mins and only have ONE shot on target??......maybe a twist to come yet....and if there is a last twist and Man Utd win the league..wont Liverpool look stupid...........did I see John Higgins in the Liverpool dugout? ...lolololol

Well decisions decisions I suppose a rub of the green all teams get that in the course of the season Read this interesting article on the subject ....... I hate to be “that guy.” I really do but the British media’s constant efforts to chalk Chelsea’s EPL campaign as the result of favor from match officials is bordering on insulting. Chelsea’s last three victories came against Manchester United, Bolton and Stoke City and in all three the Blues have come under critcism for calls that went in their favor. Pundits pointed out Drogba’s offside’s match-winner against Manchester United as referees giving the game to Chelsea but these same critics stayed silent on the possible handball of Federico Macheda or the obvious penalty by Gary Neville.
Sir Alex Ferguson, always quick to blame defeats on everything but his players, said “What I can’t understand is the linesman’s directly in front of it. He has no-one near him and he gets it wrong. A game of that magnitude, you really need quality officials and we didn’t get them today. It was a poor, poor performance.” On his last point Ferguson was correct, the officals were poor on that Saturday afternoon at Old Trafford but they were bad for both sides. The outcome was not determined by the men with the whistles and to imply otherwise is ludicrous. Who knows if Macheda(using both hands) would have even gotten that goal if it were not for the reckless pressure United was forced to apply with a two-goal defecit. It is overly simplistic to think that the outcome of the match would have been identical minus one goal. That’s not how the game works.
The following week Chelsea put in an admittedly flat-footed display against Bolton. Bolton had two handball appeals waved off, one against John Terry and the other against Didier Drogba. Drogba’s offense was obviously a penalty but the alleged offense against Terry seemed to come off the shoulder and not the arm. Columnists were infuriated with the apparant blue bias of the referees. “At the top, Manchester United and Arsenal can forget about the championship if Chelsea are going to survive such clear-cut handballs,” said ESPN columnist Harry Harris. Did Chelsea escape this game with a few generous calls? Probably. But what some people do not seem to understand is that handballs inside the box are missed more often than they are seen. Chelsea had a few claims to handballs themselves but were turned away because the offense is so difficult to see.
But the most egregious offense came during Sky Sports halftime analysis of Chelsea’s thrashing against Stoke City. Both analyists claimed that Soloman Kalou’s sliding rebound to put Chelsea up 2-0 was “a dangerous play that deserved a red-card.” Upon viewing the replay it’s obvious that Kalou got to the ball first and and it was the goalkeeper who lunged to make contact with the Chelsea player. The play resulted in Thomas Sorenson getting injured and that’s regrettable but in no way a sending off or grounds to wave off a clear goal. The commentators again cited big-club bias against the referees but made no mention of the obvious handball by Stoke in the first half.
If Chelsea manage to hang onto their slim lead atop the EPL and hoist the trophy on May 9 it will not be because of favorable treatment by officials. It will be because they played the best football over the course of the season. Clubs get victories they don’t deserve because of blown calls all the time. That will always be the case and incompetence by officials knows no biases

Good morning guys, The above is a great explanation BUT it shouldn`t have needed to be written the title went to the team that deserved it the most because of their very consistant results and all the `sniping`can`t take that away, we could point out the way that Man Utd seem to have their own 90 minute clock that goes on for 93+minutes but that would be flippant of me i think it`s fair to say that over the run of the season without a doubt the best team WON so well done Chelsea

Well guys the season has ended the league has been won and finally the FA cup has gone home to stamford bridge once again. The game was closely contested and if the wood work had been slightly wider it would have been another cricket score for Chelsea but well done to Portsmouth they played and fought extremely well and should hold their heads up very high.
Just on comment about `very blue specs`they say that the `result is in the eating`well Chelsea`s results speak clearly for themselves premier league winners and now FA cup winners you don`t need `blue specs`for that lol lol

Yep hats off and Congrats to Chelsea I think overall we deserved what we got this year the "double " dont mind about all this talk about dodgy decisions and luck every team gets their fair share of them in a season we beat the top 4 teams that kinda says it all I think ;)as well as few other records broken cmon the " Drogs " ..... anyway if we keep our shape and form and manager of course who knows maybe the Treble next year ;D and weegeo not being fans of the "history" brigade we're often frowned upon so its time for us to celebrate and enjoy a great season and lets hope the future is " Blue "...now how does that song go.... Blue is the Colour etc ;D Barry
