Computer Dead / HELP!!

Poor Jacqui. .....your getting a right dose of it all lately eh......I know its of no comfort but we all go through this at some stage or other. My daughter was constantly downloading attatchments ,songs,pix screensavers emoticons etc and forever getting viruses even with an Antivirus Prog also Limewire that was notorious for passing on viruses but shes a lot more careful now . You just gotta be careful wherever you visit and whatever you download these days the AV companies are struggling to combat new viruses on a dail basis . Spent all day last Sun trying to rid my daughters laptop of a virus a Youtube link sent to her by one of her friends..so even Youtube dont escape these bugs. I got the name of the Virus Worm it usually appears on your screen then I searched the net for a remedy to kill the bugger and it worked this time .......sometimes when its a real stubborn virus you might need to reinstall Windows I presume you gotta Vista/XP back up disk ? I know it can be a bit of a pain but once you got backups of everything it can save you hours of stress trying to get rid of it. Anyway must be costing you a fortune going back and forth to the pc shop hope things are sorted real soon for you ok......best of luck

Don't get too down about it Jacqui...its a pain but it happens to us all at some stage..a lot of the free AV programs do a good job but something will always get through, i use a program called hijackthis which scans the computer and lets you destroy the little blighters...for good...and best of all its free..

Never let me down yet....give it a try....

a lot of virus malware spyware might be in your sys restore volume a few virus removal fixes recommend you to switch off your sys restore and boot in safe mode then run the fixes once any viruses are removed another scan or fix is to be run to double check your pc is clean then u can switch sys restore back on
