Thanks Soundman. It's shameful Glenn is still up to his old tricks, I thought he had stopped by now but apparently not. Hopefully others will take heed and keep an eye out. Thanks again and welcome to the forum, by the way

Hi all, Just as a general point, I don't think Glenn actually generates the taking of the subscription. My take on it, after some emails to and from PayPal, was that it gets done automatically, IF you made a subscription. So the key thing is to go into PayPal and cancel any subscription. It's just the same as cancelling a standing order at your bank, it's your responsibility. Not that I'm trying to make excuses for anyone, as I'm sure you know! All the best, JohnG.

If that is the case John then i am happier. I was under the impression that Glenn was getting things together and not continuing with his previous endeavours, so if what you're saying is correct, and I think you are..well, you usually are and this isn't down to Glenn but PayPal, then PayPal should now stop this from happening again and the more people that get on to them about it the quicker it will be sorted.

Hi Pat,
Looking at it from PayPal's point of view, they would have probably have to troll through thousands, or even millions, of accounts in many countries to see who had subscribed to MIDImart, so it's easier (and I suspect a lot cheaper) for them to deal with it on a case by case basis.
I guess if there was ever a law suit over copyright then they'd have to do something. But, as far as I know, he hasn't actually been convicted of breaking the law. The way that it stands at the moment, I understand, is that it is just an accusation. In law.
So, it remains the responsibility of the individual to make sure that no further subscriptions are paid, much as we may wish it was different. After all, we, me included, set up the subscriptions in the first place so, in law I believe, it remains our responsibility to cancel it. I'm not even sure that PayPal can cancel the subscription without our permission.
As I've said many times in the past "this is just my 2d." and I certainly don't claim to be that knowledgeable about the law.
All the best, JohnG.

Folks As you know, I am no fan of Glenn, but, it this case, from what I have learned, he is not directing the taking of money from PayPal. Each one who has set up a payment to Midimart, must log on to PayPal, and go through the procedure of cancelling it. I have done this, and promptly got an email from PayPal, confirming same, and confirming that no further payments will be made.

Or better still go and check whether your subscription to MIDImart is still there in your PayPal account. If it is you know what to do. Good to know you're still there rockin' away in your corner wee George. Hope things are working out for you? Great to have you back again. All the best, JohnG.

Unfortunately, I didn't check when this was raised last year. I thought "Oh I must do that" and completely forgot about it. Hence today I got stung !!! I have sent an email to him at midimart. net and to his other address glenn.humber@ntlworld.com but doubt very much that it will do anything. I have now cancelled and confirmed with PayPal that my subscription is cancelled.
You live and learn,,,,,,,,,eventually

Ovation, from what Soundman says you can claim a refund from Paypal. So, check that out and see what happens, you might not be out of pocket after all.
Thanks Soundman for the advice.

Ovation .. As a matter of interest ... How much money is Glen defrauding from you this time.
Dont want to rub it in, just wondering if he's chancing his arm even further from previous years. it was £15 if can remember correctly.
