Yamaha TG 100 module

Anyone here any knowledge using USB-Midi interface with this device.

i used to have one but didnt link it up with usb I actually used it on a old amga computer using serial midi interface Then when i went to a PC ie windows98 i bought a midi interface that went into the souncard port i also used a host cable on a laptop it was serial from laptop to ps1 i think host into back of tg100 to use the ps cable i downloaded drivers from yamaha site think they were called cbx i cannot see any probs using it thru usb i have a yamaha mu50 which i plug into usb port hope this helps can you not borrow a usb to midi interface or try one in a shop

I've been using the serial port to host but my lead is cutting out.
I thought rather than rewire I would try usb - midi.I cant find any info on the yamaha web site.
Might upgrade,any suggestions ?

I bought a midi/usb interface and plugged it in me mu50 and Pc and it worked fine think there was also a drivers disk with it but didnt need it heres a link to summit like i use all cables are connected already seems a lot cheaper now since i bought mine I also have a tascam usb/audio interface this is also usb just connect usb to pc and midi cables from interface to the mu50. to be honest we used to have a tg100 and i got the chance of a mu50 very cheap and its far better than the tg100 the mu50 has really solid punchy sounds where as the tg100 sounded light if you know what i mean. dont get me wrong we used the tg100 for a while but when i got the chance of the mu50 there was a tdifference in sound hope this helps. seems hard to get these now i usually look on ebay and mostly they are selling from japan hong kong
