A big hi to all members and all the very best wishes to you in 2021,I hope that this year is going to be a better on than the previous one, unfortunately what with the virus situation etc it looks like being a tough one for many of the members and there families. We are probably one of the lucky one's living in Western Australia, the folks who have been affected here are coming from various states and dodging the blockades which have been turning them back to eastern Australia where the virus is very active. This plus a hefty fine and in some cases facing a gaol sentence of several months inside prison. My music concerts have been affected but after many years going around the aged care facilities I was ready to call it a day' I still like to have a strum at home to keep my hand in, it gives my two Ovations a bit of a workout as well. We are going into our summer now and already had a few days in the 40C+ it looks like being a hot one for us down in Baldivis, been full time watering all of our veggie's, fruit trees etc, but we have strict rules in place already. I have a sister in the UK plus my lovely wife Patricia still has quite a few relatives living there, mainly in the west country. Its hard to believe that we left the old country as ten pound migrants in 1968 having a 18 month boy and a four year old lad as well. The flight that we came on took three days to get here, arriving in February in scorching heat. On reflection it was the best twenty pound we have ever spent. I guess I get a bit carried away remembering the early days it must be a bit of an age thing, anyway members very best wishes to you all for 2021 which hopefully will be a better year. It's good to hear from you again Terry. Twenty pounds will just about buy you 4 takeaway coffees and a piece of cake these days. Best wishes to you all.

Hi Ian great to hear from you, i,m not to sure which part of the country you live in, I had a feeling that you live in the midlands or there about, correct me if I am a little adrift, it must be a bit of an age thingy. Patricia ang myself still have quite a few relatives living in the UK. We have been following the virus disaster over there it really looks serious, we are very fortunate where we live in Baldivis Western Australia with the first case discovered here recently, it was a single women who had come from the eastern states (Sidney),she was promptly put into prison and also fined about twenty five thousand dollar,s as well. hopefully this will discourage any further attempts. Our weather is starting to warm up in preparation for our summer.we have had a couple of warm ones to kick us off with the temps hitting around 42c to 46c.Patricia is not a lover of this type of heat, I am busy in our garden planting veggies etc,the grape vines are fantastic this year with bunches of grapes everywhere. We can usually keep the neighbours supplied as well. It's hard to believe that it's been about fifty three years since we coughed up the pricely sum of twenty pounds to enable us to get to Australia, this consisted of ten pounds each for Patricia and myself plus the two boy's one aged four years & the other just ten months travelled free of charge, it certainly was good value.Do you have an Ipad, Patricia has one as it is great for keeping in touch with the folks,I am not to special on them so mine hardly gets used. Our time difference is about eight hours ahead of the UK.Well that's about all the latest from downunder,...very best wishes to you and the family, hope 2021 will be a better year.

Hi Terry, I'm from North Essex, about 40 miles North East of London. The virus has killed my singing and music work since last March, but I am still able to do my other work doing maintenance for my local council. Our NHS is working flat out at the moment and we are probably about to enter the "hardest 6 weeks" we have ever known. Ian
