Hi folks, once again I think I have mastered the art of logging in after the old computer went a bit haywire,it is a really old model which hasn't been used for a while. My good lady Patricia has an Ipad but I haven't graduated to that level as yet even though I have got a really old one which I use on the odd occasion.I haven't been gigging around the oldies homes for some time due to this virus thing plus I had an accident earlier this year when while pruning a tree in our back garden I fell about six metres from the ladder and broke my back, this put me in hospital for quite a while and the recovery has been a bit slow since then.I am now back to driving after having to take a driving test plus a few other obsticles. My good lady Patricia is making sure that I don"t sneak out and get the ladder to do a bit of tree pruning etc. I still like to have a strum of my ovation guitar just to keep my hand in plus it makes a break from gardening etc. Our weather is still pretty chilly even though we are into our spring, temps around tops of about 26c but very chilly at night,we do need a lot more rain to carry us through our hot summer otherwise we get water restrictions, we are allowed two watering days a week at the moment if using a sprinkler system but we can use a hose pipe to do hand watering on the other day's if needed. At the moment we are picking oranges and mandarin's which are very plentiful. Patricia is not fond of the very hot weather which does reach 40c+ temps at times. That's all the gossip from down Baldivis way, Best wishes to all .Simmo

Hiya Simmo, Sorry to read about your ladder fall, we call that "doing a Molly". I'm glad that you're on the mend. I'm barred from ladder-jobs too! My missus says "call one of the neighbourhood kids and pay them to do it!" Spring is sprung on the East Coast but the weather is up and down like a yo-yo; hot one day, chilly the next. I'm betting that we're in for a long, hot summer Downunder. All the Best, mate, and remember to listen to Patricia! Cheers, Gibbo

Hi Gibbo after a couple of hour,s playing with the computer I am pretty sure that I have mastered my few problem,s, part me and part one very dated computer, have been following your weather and its a bit like ours at the moment, can't wait for summer to kick in. Had a big day in the garden today {no ladder,s) getting all the pruning of our fruit tree,s under way, looks like a bumper year with oranges, manderins, and a huge number of grapes, we grow a heap of veggies as well. Had my first attempt at mowing the lawns and all went well. All is well over here with the virus where we are living but we are careful while shopping etc.I still have my two ovation guitar,s and often have a bit of time playing them just to keep my hand in. All of the places where I used to gig at (aged care homes ,nursing homes and oldies clubs)are all in shut down at the moment but I have stopped doing them since having my little hiccup,I used to enjoy playing all of the old stuff which the residents could relate to. Lost a brother to cancer recently and another brother is seriously ill at the moment with the dreaded cancer. I had my turn a few years ago which resulted in losing a kidney but I feel as fit as ever. We have been living in Baldivis for twelve years and have no intention of moving, we had no shops or facilities when we came here but we now have the luxury of a shopping centre just five minutes away, I am now driving after having to take a driving test due to my not being able to drive for about nine months previously, no problems now and things are back to normal.thats about all the gossip for now, best wishes,Terry & Patricia
