I got this John and I actually understand the ticks and 0-9 represent 1-10. That 200ms of the older modules - is that what they refer to as "latency". What is the latency of modern synths? Is latency an issue with software synths and if so, does it depend on hardware (CPU and sound card)?
Thanks for a comprehensive look at basic midi timing.
