A few months back I came across a version of an old drum machine for my Android phone (a Samsung Galaxy S2) I used to use back in the 1970s!
It works a treat but is nothing compared to an Elsesis SR-18, for example. It had a 3/4 beat, and a host of others too. Not great but works! And it is free
It's called Silicon Oxide and available for free on the Android Market place.
It might also be available for i-Phones.
