Jerry,
Hope you have good news from the MRI scan. They can do wonders with this nowadays. I had the same diagnosis 5 years ago and am now clear after the treatment. Will keep you in our prayers.

Hi Jerry ,I had a prostate cancer operation 18 months ago and like you I was diagnosed as in the early stages which usually is good news as full recovery can be achieved. I opted for surgical removal, and then I had a radiotherapy wash-up this year to remove any bits that might have been left from the surgery although my PSA readings suggested there was none as my readings were excellent but I erred on the safe side to be sure.Stay positive, you will get some negative thoughts creeping into your head which will happen outwith your control but what you can control is how you react to that thoughts. I have a wicked sense of humour which I'm sure helped me through the tough times.I will keep you in my thoughts Bigmike

Just wanted to update re this thread. As you all know, I had surgery on 31st January. Been in recovery mode since. I had my first follow up with the Team yesterday, and got the most fantastic news. All Cancer gone, no need for follow up treatment, and not back with them for three months. The power of prayer!!!. It also points to the importance of catching matters early, and is a good indicator for all men to have a regular checkup. So guys [and indeed girls] if you have not had an MOT for some time, get that appointment and have it done sooner rather than later.
Thanks to all of you who responded to the thread.
