Thank you Tommy, Jacqui, Gerordie and wee George for your birthday wishes.
We decided to go out for the day to Koblenz (where the river Mosel meets the Rhine). After a good walk around we found a great little bistro/cafe/restaurant with great local wines and good food and, as it turned out good company too. A group of elderly French cyclists took the table next to us (Susanne is fluent) some pleasant people next to them, another pair of English speaking people next to them, and so on. We all talked together and it almost became a party. Three hours later the party broke up. We came home and 'chilled out' for the evening.
The weather couldn't have been kinder, 30C with a light breeze.

It was a lovely day as you may have read.
We are busy preparing for the move back to the UK, probably sometime in October, hence the late response.
