Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50 in a Los Angeles hospital. He suffered a heartattack at his home in LA and was rushed to hospital were he died, he will be remembered as a strange guy but above all he should be remembered as the superb showman and entertainer that he undoubtly was.
Rest easy Michael Jackson

Thanks for the news, George. Although not a huge fan myself of Michael Jackson the person I did, however, respect his musical and stage performance abilities.

Sad news indeed George! He was no doubt a real pop icon. Contraversional, but very talented................Gerry.

Modern day pop music is still thriving because of Michael, he was a genius of his trade, "Thriller" is the best selling album of all time, a pure masterpiece that blew the bland music of the time out of the water, as P Diddy says "He taught me how to see the beat".
R.I.P Michael.

Love him or hate him and his music, there's no doubt he was a talented musician. I think few people realise just how much of the music he made he both composed and produced.
As you said R.I.P.

Michael Jackson was a true GENIUS, a superb singer,a fantastic dancer and entertainer and a brilliant composer. The World mourns his passing away. We will miss him. I wonder how many of us could imitate him (his singing). He was inimitable. I didn;t even dare to try !!

As one observer put it "Todays The Day The Music Died " love him or hate him everyone had an opinion of MJ but even his most fiercest critics in the Music Industry know deep down we probably wont see another "Genius " like him in our life time ..he was heaven sent thats for sure ...Singer, songwriter, record producer, arranger, dancer, choreographer, actor, author, businessman, financier, philanthropist Instrument(s) Vocals, multiple instruments, percussion the list goes on theres truth in the old adage "Only The Good Die Young " .he was also a caring father Less than four months before Jackson's death, one of his biographers, Ian Halperin, revealed that Jackson had a secret library of over 100 unreleased songs which he planned to have released after his death to support his children .R.I.P.....

Michael Jackson touched so many lives, not only here in the states, but all over the world. I grew up with Michael and his music, and although I never met him personally, he was like a part of my family. This is truly a great loss in the music industry. Peace Be With You Michael, And May God Bless You!!

The most apt words I have heard spoken in the last 2 days was when an interviewer referred to the man as a ' flawed genius ' . Says it all for me.

The MJ bandwagon keeps on rolling his album has just gone to the top of the charts and his Father says he will be more famous now that he is dead hmmmm i wonder can it be possible for this to happen he was after all the most famous pop star on the planet, like so many i wondered at his music and the way it was all put together with all the very subtle little `runs` in it as has been said he was a `flawed genius`unfortunately it wouldn`t be proper at this time to voice what i really thought of him but maybe it will come up again in a new topic. For now my thoughts are with his family and friends and i hope their grief will be easy to bear always remember the man above will ease our grief.

That's right, George. This is a tribute section and it would be inappropriate to say anything disparaging. Regardless of personal feelings in relation to alleged activities this is not the place to voice them so I would hope that in this respect everyone will be as thoughtful as your good self.

I was playing on Saturday night and as a fitting tribute I did 3 songs of his..I had worked with them all day Saturday to get them as right as I could......SHE'S OUT OF MY LIFE...BEN and finishing off with ROCKIN ROBIN....it was the first time that I had sang the first two....they went down well..some of the crowd actually stood up and clapped......and I thought that I had won them with my short selection......but how wrong I was.....at the end of the night I was approached by two women who accused me of ''GLORIFYING WHAT MICHAEL JACKSON HAD DONE TO THOSE POOR KIDS''....( a fact unproven I stressed to them...but it fell on deaf ears ) they classed him along with Gary Glitter....It just goes to show you that no matter how much a GENIUS he was...his tarnished reputation is what some people remember him by....I think that is sad.

That is truly sad. He was never proven guilty so trampling him to dust for what some people thought he did wasn't justice. I believe he was innocent.
