As usual there is much "twaddle" talked about this and other metals. Just as there is about radiation. (Good scientific term "twaddle"!)
As long as you don't plan to eat the foil with the chicken, Jackie, you'll be fine. Its melting point is over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, and it's only near that that there is any appreciable danger of transfer.
You actually have to ingest quite a bit of aluminium (note that the article talks about injecting aluminium into animals) before its effects can build up to a point where they are harmful.
If you cook with aluminium pans and regularly stir them with a metal spoon, and do that over many, many years, then you could be ingesting tiny quantities of aluminium, possibly enough worry about. Enough to harm you? Who knows, the jury is still out. If you use aluminium pans and stir with a wooden spoon you'll be fine.
But just covering the bird with foil presents no measurable danger. I don't think they can measure how much aluminium is transferred to the bird, if any.
I still use foil and have done so for years. But then I've been mad for a long time. Since I was dropped on my head at birth.
BUT ...
Are you using butter to baste the bird? Tsk, tsk, tsk, now you know that butter is full of saturated fats. Don't eat the crisp skin though, the fats in that are a HUGE danger to your health. What was the bird fed on? Are you sure they didn't use GM crops for the bird food? Have you washed all the pesticides off the vegetables ... sure? Are you having a bottle of wine with it? tsk, tsk ,tsk, not at all healthy, especially with all those E numbers in it.
Much better off sticking to bread and water. If you're sure the water is pure, have you filtered it? Is the bread made organically? Does it have too much salt in it? Much better to make your own bread, then you can regulate that and make sure that the flour is grown organically too.
Life is too d@mned short to worry about all these things. You're at a much greater risk just by stepping out of the front door.
Me? I think a nice Madras curry, with poppadoms to start, Patna rice and a couple of Peshwari Nans, with some vegetables with a Kashmiri yoghurt dressing on them and a glass or two of beer will go down a treat.
Burp! Pardon me. JohnG.
P.S. and most importantly, if they're for the mixer Jacqui, hard wearing is the most important factor, so forget gold.
AND ...
Happy Easter.

Took me a few seconds to get this, Ziggy. (must be the Alzheimer's after all the aluminium I've ingested) Health warning! Cooking au naturell can be injurious to the health. One could get some nasty burns taking the chicken or the roast potatoes out of the oven.

Oh my God! not sure about the Chicken now, I was so looking forward to that, but it's true you have to think about all these additives in your food nowadays.... my partner really likes the "au naturell" idea though, said he's happy to go for that and forget the food . That stuff about Aluminium is amazing. So, I've decided not to go for Gold now, as actually Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend, Oh No! maybe I should not have said that, here we go again ;D John where was this Diamond Mine again you used to go digging in ? Jacqui ps: Can I have an Easter Egg
