For those of you interested in "free" software, here's a great looking new opensource project which looks like it's going to be fantastic. A MIDI sequencer called Sekaiju. openmidiproject.sourceforge.jp/Sekaiju_en.htmlIt's not complete yet but it has all the hallmarks of something going somewhere. JohnG.

That is a great program, well for free anyway. I will spend some time on it and see if I can find my way around it. I am using CW9 pro at the moment, so this one is similar in appearance, but I am not sure it would have all the bells and whistles that CW has. How have found it's operation so far??

Hi Steve, I haven't used it in anger yet for the sequencing process, but one of the features I liked very much is that it supports multiple ports, up to 16, which is great with all my sound modules. I sincerely hope he's going to add VST support soon.
But I'm so used to using XG works as my main sequencing s/w I haven't really given it the bashing it deserves.
Mighty good for a freebie though.

After using this program for a few days now, I'm here to advise that this program is very good and usable. It's a bit hard to understand why such a good program is FREE. It does most general things that Cakewalk can do. The configuration is a bit limited, but the general operation is quite good...worth a try as it is free
