OK all you entertainers out there, its coming up to Christmas and I looking to find out what ye do for Christmas medleys. Whats the most popular gets the crowd going etc.
I find that "Fairytale of New York" is always a hot favourite. Followed by "Do they know its Christmas".
Anyone else.

I play a 3 hour show packed full of Christmas songs and carols, but at the end of the night, John Lennon's 'So This Is Christmas' always goes down well, as does 'Going Home For Christmas'. But they also love 'What a Wonderful World' and 'Feed the World' But the one that gets them up on their feet and dancing is Fairytale of New York - follow that with a couple of disco anthems/floor fillers and they'll love it!

Hi Tradman I find Slade , Merry Christmas everyone, and Fairy Tale in New York, are crowd pleasers, but my own personal favourite is Greg Lake ' I believe in father christmas '. I dont think I have heard the Status Quo christmas medley though. If you have it in midi file format perhaps you could send it to me, it sounds interesting.
Nice topic Tradman.

Fairytale Of New York for me....the crowd love it in Ireland and IMO the best Christmas tune ever, followed very closely by Chris Rea's Driving Home For Christmas...

I think Jacqui likes Little Donkey. Personally I think she is secretly asking for the midi file, but may be too embarrased to ask!!

Yes Wizzard and Shakin Stevens always get them going. My personal favorite is Gregg Lake, but it doesn't get them up dancing. Has anyone got the status Quo medely and are they willing to share the midi? I'd love a copy Regards Eddie
