Hi JohnG, I downloaded Synthfont,I loaded a file and converted it and it was a good job But when I tried to load another file into it,the program froze completely and I had to reboot the computer to get rid of it.I downloaded the program from a different site but it was still the same.I removed the program from my computer and installed it again three times but still the same. The funny thing is,even though I remove the program properly, when I re install it and open it up it always comes back to the part where I was before.Any Ideas? Cheers Geordie

Hi Geordie,
I'm in email contact with the author, Kenneth, and have asked him how to proceed with this. It all works perfectly on my system ... so far. So I can't help. I'll forward some ideas as soon as he gets back to me. He's likely to want to know which version of Windows and what other equipment you're using.
I'll be in touch as soon as he responds. Regards, JohnG.

Hi JohnG, I've been in touch with Kenneth over the last couple of weeks and he finally got the problem with Synthfont fixed,It was my Keyboard doing it,after mixing my midis on my keyboard I save them to a floppy and the put them on my computer, they were the ones causing the problem. If I saved them to a floppy and then onto Cakewalk and then save to a folder they were OK.Kenneth has since fixed the bug and today he has released an update that you can download next time you're using Synthfont. He was kind enough to give me a free registration for helping him. Thanks for your help. Geordie

Geordie That was very generous of him. So glad you got it fixed. The thing to do now is to persevere with the program and try different fonts until you come across the one that best suits you. The great thing about the program is that you can have several fonts, which you switch between, depending upon the genre of music you're trying to create. regards, JohnG
